Health and accident insurance
As from 1 January 2004 all matters concerning health and accident insurance have been transferred from the Federal Social Insurance Office (FSIO) to the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (SFOPH). Bringing all health matters under one roof should combine expertise and responsibilities in this area. In the medium term, it is hoped that this reorganisational measure will lead to improvements in know-how and mastery of the factors which influence policy on public health.
