The IV/AI provides the insured with assistive devices which they need to engage in gainful activity, keep their existing job, make it easier for them to perform their work, carry out everyday tasks (e.g. housework), attend school, pursue basic/continued training, and aid their functional habituation.
The IV/AI also provides assistive devices that help the insured become mobile, facilitate social interaction and increase their independence. These are awarded regardless of the person's employment status.
An ordinance sets out a complete list of assistive devices issued under the IV/AI.
