Integration measures in preparation for a return to work

The purpose of integration measures is to prepare the recipient for a return to work. They are particularly useful in cases where the incapacity to work is psychologically induced. With the help of integration measures, the insured person can slowly acclimatise to the work process and build their resilience.

Individuals whose capacity to work has been 50% or less for a minimum of six months are entitled to integration measures.

The insured person should be able to be physically present in the workplace for at least two hours a day and over a minimum of four days a week.

Young people under 25 who have yet to enter the workforce and are at risk of invalidity are entitled to youth integration measures. These prepare the recipient for first-time vocational training and aim to enable them to establish and maintain a daily routine and develop and preserve their ability to work efficiently and effectively.

Integration measures for adults may be more appropriate for 18- to 25-year-olds with additional support needs who have already been in paid work.
