Fradulent FSIO email in circulation

An email is currently circulating which purports to be from FSIO Director Doris Bianchi demanding benefit repayment. This is a phishing (CEO fraud) attempt. The Federal Social Insurance Office NEVER sends this type of email, either to individuals or to institutions. If you receive a phishing email, do not reply and do NOT click on any links it may contain. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has been notified of the scam FSIO email.

Statistics on AVS and AI supplementary benefits (PC)

Supplementary benefits (SB) are borne jointly by the federal government and the cantons. They are paid to people drawing an AVS or AI pension, provided they reside in Switzerland and their legally recognised expenses exceed their income as taken into account, i.e. their income does not cover their minimum cost of living. SB are needs-based insurance benefits to which the recipients have a legal entitlement.
