Financial Assistance to Organisations

The FSIO provides financial assistance to organisations active in a wide range of areas, based on clear legal principles. The information on these pages is intended for organisations that already receive financial assistance from the FSIO or wish to submit applications for financial assistance. Most of the information is available in German, French and Italian.

Financial Support for Childcare

The Federal Act on Financial Aid for Child-Care outside the Family came into force on 1 February 2003. This incentive programme seeks to increase the number of childcare places available in Switzerland so as to make it easier for parents to strike a better balance between their family and professional/educational commitments.

Promotion of Youth Activities

Based on the Federal law on the Promotion of extracurricular Youth Welfare, the Federal Social Insurance Office (FSIO), section Youth, grants financial assistance to organisations working in this area; it also helps fund the training of youth workers and individual projects.

Providers of services for the disabled

According to Art. 74 IVG, the disability insurance (IV) supports private organisations for people with disabilities that operate nationally or in specific language regions. The aim is to support people with disabilities so that they can participate independently and autonomously, in particular by offering help for self-help.
