Daily benefits during rehabilitation

To be eligible for daily benefits, claimants must be at least 18 years old and were in gainful employment or in IV/AI-supported first-time vocational training prior to the onset of their incapacity to work.

Adults are entitled to daily benefits if their participation in rehabilitation measures prevents them from attending work on at least three consecutive days, or their capacity to work in their normal occupation is 50% or less.

Individuals attending a mainstream school as part of their first-time vocational training or in an entirely classroom-based vocational education and training programme are not entitled to daily benefits.

The same applies to individuals in receipt of either medical measures or integration measures to prepare them for occupational rehabilitation.

Recipients will continue to receive a pension rather than daily benefits for the duration of the reintegration measures under Art. 8a InvIA. In certain circumstances, the IV/AI may award a daily allowance.
